STATEMENT: UK PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS
In light of the unfolding public health crisis regarding Coronavirus, Lynemouth Power Station has now actioned its business continuity plan and is following all government guidelines in relation to working practices.
The plant is fully operational and is producing maximum electricity output to ensure that the country has sufficient energy supplies.
Staff are working extremely hard in challenging circumstances, and as part of Lynemouth Power Station’s contigency planning, minimum staffing levels have now been enforced on site in line with health and safety requirements. Staff who are able to work from home have now been instructed to do so, and all key workers remaining at the plant are being fully supported. We are also working closely with our strategic partners to ensure minimal disruption.
These are unprecedented circumstances and Lynemouth Power Station will communicate regularly with any further updates.
We are absolutely committed to supporting front-line organisations, facilities and key workers working so extremely hard for us all at this critical time.
